NDS is also accepting applications from deferred law firm associates, who are committed to doing public interest work during their deferral periods. Deferred associates will represent NDS clients on misdemeanor cases in Criminal Court, and will also provide support to at least one other project of interest, which may involve appearing in Housing Court, Family Court, or other forums. The associates are trained and closely supervised by experienced NDS staff. Currently NDS is hosting one deferred associates, Shervin Rezaie.
