Joan Rashid, Director of Development
Joan has fifteen years of experience in development and fund-raising. As an accomplished fund-raiser, Joan has helped diverse nonprofit organizations raise more than $12 million for general operating budgets and program support. She has worked with such groups as the Constitutional Rights Foundation in Los Angeles, the Urban League of Los Angeles, and the Low Income Investment Fund (LIHF) in the San Francisco/Bay Area. Prior to joining NDS, she provided consulting services to nonprofit organizations in California and New York. Joan has a special interest in development work geared towards building organizational capacity. She also has a passion for programs that focus on helping today's youth become future leaders. Joan received her BA in English literature from City College of New York, and a MSW in social welfare from the University of California, Los Angeles.

Kristin Holcomb, Event Planning Consultant
Kristin Holcomb has extensive experience in event planning. Since 2005, Kristin has worked with NDS to plan our annual events.

Mark Paris, Grants Development Consultant
As the grants development consultant to NDS, Mark Paris brings 27 years of experience in resource development, nonprofit management, local government and higher education administration to the organization. By serving as a grant researcher, grant writer, and proposal reviewer throughout his career, Mark has extensive experience with community-based nonprofit organizations and government agencies. At NDS, Mark is matching the needs of NDS clients to the interests and requirements of private funders.
